Christmas Ships:

This week we are visiting Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Those of you from the Portland Oregon area know of the Christmas Ships tradition along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. We are pretty proud of our Christmas Ships and last winter in Savannah Georgia we were somewhat critical of the local tradition in that area. Thanksgiving:.

We are here in Gilroy California observing old family traditions with our son, Glen and his family, Barb, Cody, Patrick, Bryce and now Lizy, Smellfish, Marlin, Sunny and Chocolaté. Yes the turkey is in the oven. The gals will be “slaving over a hot stove all day” to bring us two kinds of dressing, sweet potatoes, home stewed cranberry sauce, three kinds of pie and all of the trimmings. The Wild Life:

There is one thing that Judy and I agree on completely. We really enjoy camping in the State and National Parks around the country. Today we are camped on ONeil Forebay, a Lake at San Louis Reservoir just off I-5 near Los Banos, California.
