The Cabot Trail:
Nova Scotia seems to me to be roughly divided into two parts. Cape Breton Island and all the rest of Nova Scotia. Cape Breton Island was likened to the Scottish Highlands by Alexander Graham Bell. Of course Nova Scotia means New Scotland, and this area has a strong Scottish heritage. Nowhere on Cape Breton Island are you ever very far from water. Continue reading The Cabot Trail:
Rising Water:.
On Thursday we picked up and began the move to the camp-out of our Plymouth Presbyterian Church. The first hint of something unusual was a streak of water across the floor. We wiped this up and looked in all of the cupboards for leaking stores. Finding nothing amiss, we shrugged and headed for Scappoose. At lunchtime Judy rinsed some lettuce and again we spotted water puddling on the floor. Only this time there was some lettuce leaves included. Oh-oh! Continue reading Rising Water:.

It is true, we finally found the warm weather! We are in Brownsville Texas. We are about as far south as you can go in Texas. Last night the furnace did not run even once. The temperature was near 80 yesterday, and 59 this morning. Continue reading Warm Weather:
