This week we are visiting Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Those of you from the Portland Oregon area know of the Christmas Ships tradition along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. We are pretty proud of our Christmas Ships and last winter in Savannah Georgia we were somewhat critical of the local tradition in that area. Grand Marshal
We are here in Carson City Nevada just in time for the Nevada Day’s Parade. While we were snooping around the Nevada State Railroad Museum today we chanced on a photo shoot. A Channel 8 special reporter was interviewing the Grand Marshal for the Saturday parade. The catch is the Grand Marshal is a 36 ton 1875 era steam locomotive, no. 22 named the Inyo.
