Well if Arcturus had a “tummy tuck” when his brake and drive line were repaired earlier this month, today he is getting a “face lift.” In June as we started our trip to Alaska, Arcturus caught a fair sized rock in the passenger side windshield. Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Little things are always failing in our home. This time it was the CD changer in our music system. The changer suddenly became spastic and would continually shuffle one disk in and out of the player. I couldn’t get it to eject the eight CD clip to retrieve my CD’s. Continue reading Ripping:
Tummy Tuck
Arcturus, our home and transportation as we travel around North America was feeling somewhat neglected after carrying us safely to Alaska and back. The parking brake was getting a little wimpy so we made him an appointment at Pacific Power Products in Ridgefield Washington. They also replaced some universal joint bearings and tightened a few loose bits and pieces while they were looking under Arcturus’s tummy. I guess that makes it a tummy tuck.
The ‘Bent Tour
‘Bent as in recumbent, meaning a laid back bicycle. We have been trying for a couple of years to get together with Bob Bryant and his platoon of recumbent cyclists in Port Townsend, Washington. Call of the Yukon
Yes we are now officially heading home. We expect to make it a slow trip with lots of exploring. But even here in the Yukon with its millions of acres of wilderness you can run into old friends and make new friends.
