Grandparents Day:
There really is a Grandparents Day; it is the first Sunday after Labor Day. In the Tice household we are celebrating Grandparents weekend. Jerry and Janene Tice have traveled here from Petersburg Illinois so Georgia Ann has all four of her grandparents here. Mark Tice, Georgia’s Uncle from Manhattan, also arrived via Thailand and Hong Cong. Jet lag and sleep deprivation could not dampen the celebration of new life. Continue reading Grandparents Day:

Fair Winds and Hot Sailing:
I used to have a favorite one liner that I used at every opportunity. “I had fun last summer, I went sailing both days!” There was a time here in the Scappoose – St. Helens area that that could be literally true. When we first moved into the area in the mid seventies, we could never get ripe tomatoes out of our garden. Summer Fun:
Here we are in the “Dog Days of Summer,” and we are taking another quick break before our new grand-daughter makes her début. The project house we have been helping Renee and Neil with is complete except for a short punch list of loose ends. It went on the market last Sunday with an open house event.
