You never know how handy an appliance is until it quits. About two weeks ago our microwave/convection oven went on the fritz. We searched high and low for an oven that would fit the slot. Microwaves, by the way, come in a wide assortment of sizes and styles. Incredibly we discovered that Home Depot had the perfect matching model of Sharp oven. Not at the local store, but in stock for on-line order. We were able to have it shipped to the local store. It was on sale for $50 off and shipping was free. I figured there had to be a hitch somewhere.
It arrived yesterday. When we picked it up what a shock. The Box was huge, I popped open the box and of course there was four inches of foam all around. We got it home and into the coach and careful measurement indicated that it was going to fit perfectly. I know, you are all waiting for the “Other shoe to drop.” It was no problem. A couple of hours of cautious unbolting of the old unit and blocking the new unit in place and everything fit perfectly. Halliluia! Better yet the new oven works exactly the same as the thirteen year old unit that we removed.
Judy is just now firing up the generator and preparing to heat up some “planned-over” soup for our supper.
At the moment we are in Lake Havasu State Park at the “Bluegrass on the Beach” festival. After two months of perfect weather we are having a bit of a thunder storm for the first day of the festival. I see a rainbow out my window, so tomorrow looks better.
