Arcturus, our home and transportation as we travel around North America was feeling somewhat neglected after carrying us safely to Alaska and back. The parking brake was getting a little wimpy so we made him an appointment at Pacific Power Products in Ridgefield Washington. They also replaced some universal joint bearings and tightened a few loose bits and pieces while they were looking under Arcturus’s tummy. I guess that makes it a tummy tuck.
It is a little challenging to get your home worked on. We drove over the evening before our appointment and camped on the apron of the repair facility. That way we are first on the docket in the morning. We grabbed a few magazines to read and the computer and staked out some chairs in the waiting room. We wound up sitting in the waiting room all day while parts were delivered from Portland and the work was completed. We walked over to a local restaurant for lunch. We were not favorably impressed but at least it was close.
We are still hanging around Hillsboro getting ready for some dental work for Judy. We will probably be here through October. The last few days have given us a couple inches of rain, and already we are saying, “enough already.” This is the fall weather that we “fondly remember.”
We send our love to all of our friends and relatives out there.
