I Feel a Blog Coming On:

Well folks it has finally happened. I have been dunned for my lack of attention to the needs of my reading public. It has indeed been several days since I wrote a blog, not to mention any names, (Gary Pettit and Ray Scholl.) but I do feel a blog coming on.

I try to write only when something new, or different, or otherwise exciting happens to us. The other requirement is that we must be somewhere that I can get internet connection. Now there have been plenty of things happening, but we are currently in a rather rural area of Georgia and they didn’t have the correct flavor of cell-phone coverage. Tonight we are getting close to Savannah Georgia, so that problem has been corrected.

Things happening: Well we have had another flat tire, (yawn, ho hum) and we have been to another all weekend Bluegrass Festival in Hoboken Georgia. If you look that one up on your world atlas be sure and use your magnifying glass. It is large enough for a couple thousand Bluegrass fans to find and as usual we made some fine new friends. In fact one new friend sent me the link to a “Virtual Bluegrass Festival” so you will be able to look this up and see just what we are getting involved with. Try this link, but be sure to keep your tongue-in-cheek. (Oops the link is broken)

We have had wonderful weather right up to last night. Most of Georgia got at least two inches of rain over the last twenty four hours. Incredibly the rain stopped briefly each time we needed to do something outside. For example we joined a jam session last night after supper. The rains came and it was pouring so hard on the metal roof of the picnic shelter we were in we were actually having a hard time hearing each other. About ten we started thinking about dashing across the campground to our home. The rain stopped abruptly and off we scurried. Later the lightning and thunder woke us up and again the rains came. This morning it stopped just long enough to break camp, and then started raining just as we pulled onto the road. Tonight the rains paused long enough to get camp set up again. The weather guy promised a full week of sunshine for the Thanksgiving weekend. See there really is a Santa Claus.

Exciting things happening: O.K. about the flat tire. We arrived at our campground a couple days ago only to find our right outside dual had a cut sidewall. We got to try out our RV towing insurance. It worked just fine. Two young fellows came to our campsite and changed out our bad tire for a new used tire. They had a hard time understanding why we were traveling all over the country. They have never been out of Georgia.

Exciting things about to happen: Our daughter, Renee and hubby, Neil are going to fly over to Savannah Georgia and we will have Thanksgiving together. This means that we actually have reservations at a campground and we are going to stay put for a whole week. Savannah is supposed to be a fantastic place to visit and explore. Stand by for new adventures.

Now I will close and we send our love to all of our friends and relations back home.
